Future of iconic N.J. boardwalk theme park will be presented at meeting. Here’s how to watch.

Representatives from a hospitality company planning to build an upscale hotel resort on the site of a closed Jersey Shore theme park is holding a public meeting about the project on Wednesday.
Icona Resorts is holding the meeting at the Ocean City Tabernacle at 5 p.m. to discuss plans to replace Gillian’s Wonderland Pier. The company is also live-streaming the meeting.
Current plans are to replace the amusement park that closed after the summer season with “Icona at Wonderland,” a 250-plus-room hotel located on the boardwalk.
Eustice Mita of Icona presented the project to a select group of Ocean City merchants last month and has said Ocean City would benefit from a new hotel.
Mita previously helped stop Wonderland from closing soon after it had accumulated some $8 million in debt, buying the property the amusement park sat on from Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian, the park’s owner, whose family operating the park for over 90 years.
