The author of this letter is to
Imam Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Abi Zayd al-Maliki of Cyrene
, ended the presidency of the Maliki school of jurisprudence in the Maghreb in his time. They call it: Imam Malik Little was born in Kairouan from a family known to science and jurisprudence, and received a great deal of science and a student of the elders of his time in the Hadith and interpretation, and language and doctrine, then turn to the study of the Maliki school, reaching the rank Imamate and issues of doctrine, a young man, and resorted scientists and the Senate to Attelmzu on his hands.
What you see is an interesting Islamic manuscript leaf from a

. This copy, unfortunately was partially
damaged
during the last war. So, it is
undated
(I expect is around
300
years old). The text is written with beautiful Arabic calligraphy of North African style. This

exhibits foxing and significant worming. There is some damage on the borders. It measures 21.0 cm x 16.0 cm.
